WHY American Eagle Outfitters’ flagship store in Times Square opened in 2009 with a massive 25-story LED screen. When 77kids, their children’s clothing brand, was introduced there in 2011, they wanted a groundbreaking experience. space150 teamed up with Wildbytes to amaze kids and adults in the store.

WHAT The Rockstar Experience was an in-store interactive booth where, using custom facial recognition techniques, we created a music video featuring the kids as the rock stars. And they could share it online in seconds. Whole families and groups of friends could be part of the same band, and the video would premiere on the store’s huge outdoor billboard within minutes.

The result was an engaging experience that drew participants into the store to make their rock star debut in front of a massive Times Square audience.
